About YardaCalc
YardaCalc is a free, bilingual website with calculators that tell you how much material to buy for building and home projects in the United States, and what it will cost.
Why YardaCalc exists
Buying too little concrete means a weak joint in the middle of a pour; buying too much means a pallet of bags in the garage. The math is simple, but the details that matter (bag yields, waste, how trucks sell by the quarter yard) are scattered across data sheets and store pages. And many project calculators online ask for your phone number before they show a result, because they are really lead forms for contractors.
YardaCalc does the math, shows it, and never asks who you are. It is written in English and in Spanish, with the words crews actually use on U.S. job sites.

How we work
- Manufacturer data first. Bag yields, coverage rates and installation rules come from product data sheets, and every page lists its sources with the date we checked them.
- Prices with a date. Prices change by store, region and month, so every default price is editable and shows where and when we saw it.
- Tested math. The calculators share one measuring engine with automated tests that check it against the examples manufacturers publish.
- Corrections. If you find a mistake, write to us and we will fix confirmed errors quickly.

Who is behind YardaCalc
YardaCalc is created and run by Juan Barrera, who researches, builds and maintains the calculators and guides. YardaCalc is not a contractor, engineer or building inspector. For structural work, permits and code questions, talk to a licensed professional or your local building department.
YardaCalc is independent. It is not affiliated with the manufacturers and stores mentioned on the site, such as Quikrete, Sakrete, The Home Depot or Lowe's. Their names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe products and prices.
How YardaCalc is funded
YardaCalc is free to use. We plan to fund it with advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads will be labeled "Advertisement", will never be placed next to calculator fields or results, and advertisers will have no say over what we publish.
If a page ever includes a paid or affiliate link, we will say so clearly on that page. Our calculators run in your browser, and we never store your measurements. See our privacy policy.
